We are planting something today without knowing how far it will grow or how many lives it may touch. But our responsibility is not simply to plant the seed—it is to nurture it.
And we must do the same for our young leaders.
We plant through education.
We nurture through mentorship.
We help them grow through opportunity and service.
And one day, they can plant seeds of their own—in other people, communities, and countries.
One seed becomes a tree.
One tree produces many seeds.
And with enough care and time, those seeds can become a forest.
That is our hope for GYLN.
We may never personally see the full-grown tree or know everyone who will one day rest beneath its shade. But that is not why we plant it.
Today, we are not simply launching a new program. We are planting something for those who will come after us.
If we continue to nurture it with perseverance, service, and care, I believe what begins here in Kenya can grow far beyond us.
Seed by seed.
